"I was here. I lived, I loved. I was here."
~ Beyonce
My name is Leigha and I am a bit obsessive with making lists.
I have lists for just about everything, for movies I plan on watching, resolutions for the year, things I want to learn to my latest (and greatest) to-do list. But this list is special, this list will capture all the desires I plan on reaching during my lifetime. It will continue to grow, I am sure, as I discover new ideas, new cultures, new concepts. New callings for adventures. Let's experience!
- Norway and its breathtaking nature. After Frozen, I am positive I am not the only one who jumped on the bandwagon wishing for a trip to Nærøyfjord.
- Up up up we go! Let's ride a hot air balloon.
- See the Northern Lights.
- Visit Giethorn, Netherlands, this magical land also known as Venice of the North. This beautiful village is free of cars and citizens transport through these 150 bridges or by boat. Just from the pictures, this place looks very serene and peaceful.
- Garibaldi Lake, worth the hike.
- Although stairs and I never get along, I am ready to challenge El Peñon De Guatape. It is the craziest stairs I have ever seen!
- The swingy bridge at Grandfather Mountain is minor compared to Taman Negara Canopy Walkway, Kuala Lumpur. Let's swing!
- Footbridge recently opened at Mont Saint-Michel, strolling to the famous island would be a dream.
- Visit Sweden during the summer, experience days when the sun doesn't go down.
- Kenya, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, trips in planning.
- Eventually I'll become fluent in Spanish...well fluent enough to have a small conversations.
- Learn to build a website from scratch - be familiar with those black screens and codes.
- Be savvy with my personal finance, at least learn enough to not get confused when to pull out the credit card vs. debit card..
- Get invited to the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
- Explore new parts of North Carolina...beyond Charlotte, I should say.
- See my best friend in Australia.
- Couchsurf my way around Europe visiting friends.
- Walk in the airport and hop on the next flight to anywhere.
- Take a transatlantic cruise.
- Dip my feet in all the 4 oceans - Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Arctic & the 7 seas - Arctic, North Atlantic, South Atlantic, North Pacific, South Pacific, Indian, Southern Oceans.
- Apparite to the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando.
- Own a BMW, been a childhood dream.
- Rent a car and drive on the Atlantic Ocean Road, Norway.
- Watch the sunset at a beach.
- Catch a meteoroid shower and don't forget to make a wish.
- Adventure through all 50 states.
- Countdown to the New Year in New York City.
- Spending a short weekend at a little home at Bibury, a village in England that looks just like a story book
- Who know even after two trips to London, there are still plenty left on my list to do. The city has a hidden Little Venice, north of Paddington. Visit Angel tub station escalator that is 60 metres long AKA Europe's largest escalator.
- Another hidden secret in London is the Docklands Light Railway, it is unmanned and you can hop on the front seat.
- Ride the Jacobite in Scotland, reflecting on life with breathtaking views of the Isle of Skye
- Take the Skye Ferry or walk the Skye Bridge
- Going back to the history is always neat. The Skye Museum of Island Life would be interesting to visit
- Attempted to find the sister restaurant in Hong Kong, but failed the mission. Definitely would be interesting to eat at Modern Toilet. Food and drinks are serve in toilet bowls. Eating shit!
- Eat in darkness at Dans Le Noire in London. That will take you out of your comfort zone quick.
- Have a meal at the Chillout Lounge after a hot day in the sun in Dubai would be ideal.
- No matter how many cities, how many towns I have visited in Germany, it seems that I always find a new reason to go back. Happy Rizzi House in Brunwick, Germany. Master architecture creation!
- This is probably a reader’s dream come true, a real life book shelf house! When I make it to Russia, I’ll be sure to check out Perm, Russia.
- Flowers are organized beautifully in gardens all across Europe. Pink, purple, blue, yellow flowers paired with forest green grass is remarkable. Something different would be visiting the Poison Garden in Alnwick Castle at Northumberland, England.
- Cross the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge in Antrim, Northern Ireland. The view from the bridge looks incredible, but the walk across might be the most frightening walk of my life.
- I reference ruins as broken castle, but Dunluce Castle looks like a fun place to explore.
- See Paris at the top of stairs at Sacre Couer in Montmarte.
- Taste sachertorte in Vienna, Austria.
- Roadtrip from From San Diego to Long Beach to LA to Santa Barbara and finally ending at San Fran via Pacific Coast Highway. I bet the view is gorgeous during the fall.
- Start the Flower Route from Haarlem to Leiden, Netherlands in April/May to see all the tulips, daffodils and more!
- See beyond just the major cities in France and Spain by taking this 300-mile route leading through Bilboa to Vitoria-Gasteiz. All the fishing village in Getaria, Zumaya, and Bermeo. Perfect summer vacay!
